Buying a new computer
My current computer is a pretty nice one, it still runs everything on very high and I have no complaints, but somebody offered a decent price for it so I’ll be selling and buying a new one – a great method in my opinion! As I know nothing about hardware, I let a friend put one together for me. For the geeks, these are the specs:
- Antec Three Hundred Versatile Case
- Samsung SH-S223C/bebe Black S-ATA 22X DVD-RW
- Asus EAH5870/g/2DIS/1GD5 1024MB GDDR5 PCI Express
- Kingston 2048MB 1333MHZ PC3-10666 DDR3 Value Series KVR1333D3N9/2G (6GB in total)
- Western Digital WD10EARS 1000GB 64MB SATA300 Intellipower Caviar Green
- MSI P55-CD53 DDR3 Socket 1156 IntelĀ® P55
- Intel Core I5 750 45NM 2.66 8MB LGA 1156 Boxed
- Corsair TX650 Power Supply
I’ll be ordering tomorrow night, let me know what you guys think!

Nice specs!
I even think Dreske has the same gaming case ^^ (comes with two fans with two speed adjusters?)
To be honest I chose the case because it’s cheap and easy to open up and close again as I’m often switching hard drives etc. It is usually opened up at one side even, so the looks really do not matter.
The case looks awesome, although it swings a bit, and I lost 2 screws, but I guess that’s my fault, lol.
Where is the SSD?
Sweet pc
I wish people would offer some nice money for my pc
Damn, nice GPU there, 5870 will run pretty much EVERYTHING
Looks like the processor and mobo that I have on my wishlist
.
A core i5 doent have a trippe channel memmory controller so using 3×2 gb ram is a bit weird because this also means that the memmory wont be running in dual channel mode and means you’ll have less performace. I’d recommend 8GB. Just saying
And the WD green is 5900rpm i think and that also cripples performance.
Though the rest of the specs are awesome^2 (love the 5870)
Or 4GB will do, U don’t really need 8GB.
I don’t know if u allready ordered your PC, but u could also go for a 80GB SSD to put your OS and some programs on.
It gives a very nice performance boost, only downside is the price ^^
But its worth it.
