One year ago something magical happened, a website named RandomBase has been started and is still running smooth... Over the year alot of changes have happened and new projects have been started!

The best achievements from RandomBase are probably that we changed from a shared hosting website to a dedicated server, that we started over 20 different sorts of websites with some of them successful and others not so...

So happy birthday RandomBase!

Nothing catastrophic happened when they started the "Large Hadron Collider" at 7.30am. The doom theories would have us believe that a black hole would be formed that could swallow the whole planet, but hey, we're still here.


In other news, we've also got some new projects on our list like How to evict tenants, The Dutch Battlefield Heroes community, World of Warcraft Bots and What is Dyspraxia?.

After three long weeks, we finally managed to restore the servertime. It was a day too far after a little mistake that was noticed too late. With some programming, we fixed all the dates on the forums on the server to be set back one day, and at the same time fixing the date internally with the Linux date command.

Odd stuff is still possible, but it should fix itself within 24 hours!

Hello there! Been a while since we updated the index but there is a good reason for that: nothing new happened since the last post, we're a bunch of slackers.

There is one slight thing new that some of you may enjoy: we started a mailing list service, some people love this, since you'll read the latest stuff on RandomBase very quickly. We hope to bring you a lot of new cool stuff (especially in September and the months after that since we're far more productive in the seasons that aren't the summer) and wish you happy reading!

We just finished coding the mail queue parsing software so slight bugs may appear, please let us know if you received our mail and if so, where it ended up (in junkfolder or in inbox?). You can find contact addresses on this page.

PS: we received some complaints about the servertime, yes, there has been a mistake and we are now living a day in the future, it will be fixed but it's not that easy since there are forums running on the server and changing servertime will mean STRANGE THINGS for them until the next day starts.

That's right, we have started our own free subdomain service. Head over to va.my and register your own one before someone else does! At the time it's still ad-free, even the mainpage. We're going to try to keep this way until the bandwith costs start freaking out. An example of a subdomain is randombase.va.my, which is extremely short of course, much like co.uk.

Also, to all students: enjoy your vacation and don't get too drunk ;)!
